AI Alerts

Trends allows you to include AI alert notifications in the metric time series widgets so you can easily tracked AI alerts along with metric performance.

The Conviva AI Alerting system continuously checks for anomalies and calculates a baseline, as well as a range of variation for the metric(s), using the mean and standard deviation derived from historical data. The AI Alerts proactively detect anomalies, generate alerts, and display alert bars in the related metric time series. Click the AI alert bar to alert diagnostics.

Note:  AI Alerts with a root cause of "Assets" display 0 as the baseline and threshold in the UI, using a static backend threshold. These settings reflect the static aspect across asset viewer levels. Contact Conviva Support to modify these settings for specific AI Alert conditions.

Using the toggle feature, you can incorporate the AI alert data into the metric widgets to obtain a comprehensive view of the related AI alert activity in the metric time series.

The standard dimensions are:

  • Assets

  • Device Name

  • Content Category

  • CDNs

  • ISPs

  • Device Operating System Family

Click the Dimension button to specify the dimensions to display. The dimension associated with the root cause group is automatically displayed as the first dimension. The dimension selector displays standard dimensions, root cause group dimension, and any added custom dimensions.

CIUD and CTUD

Cumulative Impacted Unique Devices (CIUD) refers to the cumulative total of devices impacted by the issue at the time the AI alert fired.

Cumulative Total Unique Devices (CTUD) refers to the total number of unique devices active under the filter group during the specified period that were relevant to the alert activity.

For example, consider a page load AI alert; the relevant unique devices are active devices with page loads.
